Sophisticategd & Functional Taupō
This 1970s kitchen was hidden away and in need of a major refresh. With a play on texture and colour using Laminex’s wood grain in shade combined with a French Oak and simply white Melamine with a Timberland finish. This space oozes sophistication. The Florim light grey cement bench top with a matte finish offers practicality and functionality for a busy young family.
Lady Hastings - Waiheke Island
The Lady Hastings House on Waiheke Island has been carefully restored by its owners to give balance between modern trends and the nostalgic era of the dwelling. Manufacturing the kitchen cabinetry out of recycled Rimu from the property and combining negative detail in Laminex’s Meltica Bullet. The results work with almalgmating the new with the old.
Kitchen Bungalow Taupō
Once a tired and dysfunctional space this bungalow kitchen has been given a refreshed look that not only encompasses more social areas for friends and family, but has accentuated the eclectic look the owner was after. Porcelain island bench tops that extend into the scullery give updated style & allow top performance for a busy working family.
Air BnB Kitchen Taupō
The lakes district has proven very popular for Air BnB accommodation. This particular project replaced a tired kitchen utility area with a fully functioning space that could house guests for extended periods of time. Clever design utilising a coloured splashback created an extended feeling of space in an open-plan room. The bench top design was made slightly deeper allowing further functionality for a 4 hob stove top and amenity essentials.

Kitchen dreams do come true in Taupō
A kitchen renovator’s dream came true with this stylish custom-made kitchen designed and installed by the KDS Kitchen team. The Archant porcelain island panels, bench and negative detail combined with the Bamboo top add contrast in colour, warmth and texture, whilst adding functionality as a servery and bar area. The open-plan scullery is complimented with custom-fitted strip lighting which adds to the classy appearance and performance of this newly renovated space. The 5m long island with curved lacquered ends provides hidden storage and is a grand statement piece for a home that oozes character and charm.
