Beyond kitchen design, the KDS team are experienced in creating custom staircases and architectural joinery for residential homes and commercial spaces in Taupo. From modern floating staircases and steel mono-stringer designs through to beautifully crafted timber staircases, every installation is carefully designed and built to suit your space. Working with builders and architects, each staircase is crafted to complement the surrounding interior while maintaining strength, safety and timeless design.

Staircase material options

Manufacturing for your staircase project will take place at the KDS depot. The materials available for your bespoke staircase design are vast, from native and imported sustainable timbers to manufactured compound materials, great for industrial or contemporary aesthetics.
Carpet/ overlay stairs are the most comfortable and also the most economical stairs in their range.
